Genuine Revival
Lord! Show us the way to genuine revival!
People are tired of pumped up religion. They are tired of revivals that focus on a man’s personality rather than being centered on Jesus. They are tired of weird manifestations that come disguised as one of gifts of the Holy Spirit yet bear no spiritual fruit of love, joy, faith etc… They are tired of money making revivals and they are especially tired of professed church leaders that turn out to be hypocrites living in every kind of immorality imaginable.
Real revival is one that brings people to a life-changing decision to belong to Christ. It is evidenced by the Holy Spirit bringing conviction of hidden sin and revealing secrets of the heart. When the Holy Spirit takes charge of a a church; people WANT to listen to the Word of God, they love to assemble, prayer is a priority, worship is God centered and Christian living is spontaneous.
A person who has been truly anointed by the Holy Spirit doesn’t have to be coached in order to persevere in the faith, pray, give or live by God’s standards. When we are walking in the power of God, the world is not an attraction – our priority is to get as much of God’s presence as possible.

I couldn’t agree with you more! We all have to pray for a Genuine Revival in ALL of our churches. Then we will see the hand of God move in people’s lives. The obvious result of our changed testimony will be changed lives that will come forward to receive Jesus as their true Savior and Redeemer.
BTW: I think this would be an excellent article for the website
